Why do some Americans seem to want to elect a motivational speaker into the White House?

Obama is a great motivational speaker with NO pre-campaign leadership accomplishments and alot of Democrats actually want him in the White House. Where do you get your inspiration for drawing?

I get inspiration from a couple artist friends, but some of my main inspiration comes from Luis Royo and Johji Mananbe. Can anyone tell me some very funny passages from books or meaningful passages or inspirational passages?
