I want to make a fashion inspiration board with clothes and text. What do I put on it and where can I get what I need to put on it?
I’ve done many of these, you should be able to buy a suitable sized piece of card at stationary stores (make sure it’s sturdy enough and won’t bend) For sticking things on you should probably use double sided tape to prevent things looking messy or good craft glue (especially when it comes to things like sticking on fabric).
You should use photocopies of pictures, magazine articles, internet pictures etc, and as a student we’re expected to also use colour chips (you can buy paint chip brochures at most paint stores and other art stores, sometimes they’re free) you just cut these squares out and glue them onto your board. Also fabric swatches are neat, just tidily cut out pieces of fabric that go with the theme of your board or you can usually get samples of fabric and different fabric stores.
Good luck!
