How long does inspiration last for you?

I’m the type that has to do something on the spot, in one go.
Otherwise I can’t at all, or don’t see the meaning in doing it anymore.

If I want to draw something, I have to do it at that moment, without stopping until I’m done. Keeping the image in my mind. If I don’t do it as fast as possible, I get bored and lose interest in it.
It’s the same with writing. If the words are in my head, I have to write them down immediately. If not, they’re gone forever.

In other words, "inspiration" only arrives in short bursts for me.

Hey, I think I’m a bit like you. It’s particularly annoying when you’re in a situation where there’s not pen and paper. And it’s SUPER annoying when you come with up with the nicest melody in the world and you don’t have manuscript paper handy…or you’re bad at notating music. And yeah, I blame inspiration for delaying my homework, lol…

  2. yes this is normal i think for everyone …but i think inspiration last for as long as you live ..the thing is dont force it ..let it come when it does and use it ..( writing it down drawing it what ever the case maybe )…the thing is train your self to use it when it comes…over time you may find you have the ability to call on it as needed

  3. If inspirational motives, models…are not compliant with the creating space, images and words get out of mind fast, so one must use them on the spot, before oblivion gets it. Make sure that inspiration don’t clashes with your other activities, if your goal is to draw or write something worthwhile.
