I know this question is very vague but I am sure most people go through this every day. What can you give me that will give me hope. I am struggling in school right now and I am so very nervous and I can not seem to go on at the moment. I am losing hope. So I would like to know if anyone has any quotes, songs, stories, anything that helps inspire hope into the hearts of the scared and those who feel hopeless.
Not everyone is into the Bible, but it is my main source for strength and courage. When my brother died in a car accident, my mother died of cancer, and my grandmother (who raised me) died of a heart attack, I turned to God’s word for strength. I have put a few at the bottom.
Another thing that helps is to do something nice for someone. It can even be something anonymous. $5 in an envelope to someone you know really needs it. A kind word. A card to a discouraged friend. Help someone who needs it. By observing others in more need than us, and doing something to help them, it helps us to understand that our problems are really just small and temporary…
Good luck you to! Please feel free to contact me directly if you wish…

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. (1 John 4:18)
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Deuteronomy 31:6)
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:9)
But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; (1 Peter 3:14) – to paraphrase this one, sometimes we suffer when we have done nothing wrong or even when we have done something right… if so, we can hold up our heads and not be afraid because we know we’ve done what had to be done.

A long read, but kinda worth it:
It took Tanzania’s John Stephen Akhwari 4 hours and 30 minutes to finish the marathon at the 1968 Mexico City Games, a terrible performance by Olympic and African standards but a Herculean effort given that he dislocated his shoulder and tore a hole in his knee midway through.
"My country did not send me 5,000 miles to start the race," he later told Bud Greenspan, who directed the official documentary of the Games. "They sent me 5,000 miles to finish it."
By the time Akhwari approached the finish line, over two hours after winner Mamo Wolde of Ethiopia, the official timekeepers were not even bothering to count the seconds and the awards ceremony was already under way.
When the organizers were told there was still one runner hobbling along the track, however, the news was broadcast on local radio and fans rushed back to cheer him on. The stadium lights were turned back on and Akhwari ran the last 800m to resounding applause.
It was the joint worst performance at the Olympic event but it remains one of the best examples of endurance in the face of adversity at the Games.
