What do you use for inspiration for songs?

I’m trying to become a better song writer, but I can never finish my songs because I’m not inspired enough. A lot of times, I struggle to find the inspiration to start. So, what do you use to get inspired to write?

i think usually most people use inspirations such as people who have influenced their lives before.
sometimes you can even get inspiration from just anyone if anyone has ever helped you out of hard situations with advice or told you something really useful. if they said something that really made you think.
inspiration can come from miracles you hear or sometimes just how you feel about someone or something.
it can also come from your own personal experiences or sometimes what your friends and family are going through.
inspiration is really based on you. whatever is special and close to your heart.

    I like reading good, emotional, books. They always give me some kind of inspiration.
    Sitting outside too is good. Write about what you see outside. ‘The cars go by, swiftly as cheetahs racing to catch prey’ and so on, changing depending on where you live.
    Listen to other songs, but I don’t recommend it to much, because you would want a totally unique song right?
    You can also express your feelings in your writings by saying ‘Hmm, what do I feel like today?’, then, write it out and just have fun with it.

    Famous people or characters or stories, not a lot of people do that, but it works for me. What’s it called? Allusion.

    Make up a story about a person. That’s fun.
