What do you use for inspiration while you create your art, any type of art like music or even poems?

I make my own songs and i got writers block… I usually do think of certain things when i write my music but im curious what do some of you other artists usually think of inspiration-wise while you make your creations?

Life. Little things. Taking walks, that helps a lot.
Stuff like that.

    the lyrics of a song, something someone says, while listening to classical and doing yoga, the look of something, reading other poems (try poetry.com), going to grab a glass of water. relax don't think to hard and it will come

    I draw inspiration from everything. As a visual artist I try to make visual metaphors about isues that are important to me or things I'm dealing with.

    Meditate on things for a while and get in a quiet space. I also want to suggest that you read this book called "The Artist Way" You can find it at about any book store and it really teaches you how to draw creativity and to get rid of some of the things that blick our creative energy
