What should I draw for my higher art and design inspiration?

My piece is a very big metallic collar with staples and the tops of paint tubes on it! Very innovative.
I just need a subject to draw to use as my inspiration, any ideas?
So you’ve come up with a result and now you need to fake up the preliminary work.
A collar with doodads on it. So where did you get the idea? No idea whatsoever or is it just something you knocked off based on some heavy metal apparel? Well I don’t know what it looks like, so do a variation on what you were supposed to do in the first place and hit the art books till you find something that looks vaguely like what you made. Somewhere in those endless portraits of long ago fashion you should be able to find an outlandish collar that looks vaguely similar.
