Can anyone recommend an inspirational book about overcoming the odds?
Author: admin // Category: inspirationalA dear friend of mine was just diagnosed with a brain tumor and she is going through treatment now. She is only 28 and is very scared. Can anyone recommend a well written inspirational book that I can give to her? Preferably a book not on the subject of overcoming cancer but more on overcoming all obstacles and finding overall peace with life and whatever life brings you. Maybe an autobiography. Thank you!
its always very inspiring to read Chicken Soup for the Soul books
there are alot of true life stories in it and usually there is an "overcoming obstacles" chapter
if you want a book, i find the books by Mitch Albom very inspiring. "Tuesday's with Morrie" is very nice and so is "The Five People You Meet in Heaven". it isn't really about overcoming obstacles but they are books on life and hope and lessons in life
i hope these helped

One of my favorite books is "The Count of Monte Cristo", very interesting book. It is by Dumas. He has to overcome incredible obstacles. Hope your friend gets better.

Ramcharitmanas, Shrimad Bhagwatgeeta.
Yes, the versions with meaning, listening from the closed one or reading by self would help in healing mythologically.
