Well, Im a cross country runner myself and I absolutely love listening to eye of the tiger because it is a really good beat to run to. It also kinda sets your pace!

No Rap ,No opera just any Rock which is not usually what you would listen to ,inspirational the fool Fighters work really well lots of Us Soldiers Jam to them the secret is to only load 3 to 4 songs that you can play in a role and make an effort not to stop until you have listen to the last one then when you can feel you can Run longer load i few more extra songs on i hope this helps you

I can give you an inspiring movie to motivate you "Rocky IV" by Sylvestor Stallone , it really motivates before you do a workout.
Even "Rocky" music also helps a lot
Just remember, Chemical brothers "Hey girl,hey boy" is also wonderful and pumps you for a good workout
