What is the most inspirational sports moment you have ever seen?

I’m currently creating a compilation of clips for a Youtube Video I’m making. As you may have realized it’s about "Inspirational sports moments"..
I’m trying to contain as many different sports as possible so feel free to express your views.

I would also appreciate it if people could include many different moments that come to their mind.

For example, an inspirational moment for me would be when Lance Armstrong came back from Testicular Cancer to win the Tour De France.

Thanks to everyone for their help! (:

It would definitely have to be about Derek Redmond when he was running in the 1992 Olympics, he tore his hamstring and he was determined to finish the race.

The one you chose was inspirational too.

Or, when Kerri Strug sacrificed her hurt ankle for the US gymnastics team.

  1. 2001 world series. I hate the Yankees but after 9-11 I was rooting for them to win the Series. Woody Austin wearing a New York City skyline shirt and getting a hole in one at the tournament after 9-11 and I am pretty sure it was held in New York State somewhere I can’t remember where at though. Sorry I will find out and let you know.
