I want to buy a gift for my brother who's a runner. He subcribes to Runner's World mag regularly.
I'm not looking for a running "guide book" but rather a book that a runner would enjoy reading – particularly if it is inspirational and uplifting. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hands down, the best inspirational running book is "Once A Runner", by John Parker. There is now a sequel to it, called "Again To Carthage".

get him "the four minute mile" by sir roger bannister. i am an avid runner and i love this book, it is not only inspirational, but an overall good read. i have also heard that "running with the buffaloes" is good though i have not yet gotten a chance to read it.
