Who were inspirational people in history who had to work hard? I am trying to do a valedictorian speech.?

Who were inspirational people in history who had to work hard? I am trying to do a valedictorian speech so I want to include examples of how, only through hard work, an individual can be successful. Like Albert Einstein, for example, the great genius. Did he have to work hard?

it came naturaly to him. As in einstein really din't have to work at it. He was actually quite lazy… remember his famous quote – "never memorize anything you can look up in a book."

What about MLK, can't go wrong with him. He worked hard agaisnt many outside forces.

Theodore Roosevelt, he worked hard to kill animals in africa.

Abe Lincoln worked hard to preserve the union. losing sleep, his love, and his life.

Carnagie worked hard in the steel industry, reeping the benifits of hard work.

Monte Robinson, worked hard overcoming his deformed legs to and walking the boston marathon, later becoming the first disabled senator of the united states.

  3. Muhammad, the Statesman; Muhammad, the Orator; Muhammad, the Reformer; Muhammad, the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad, the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad, the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad, the Judge; Muhammad, the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a hero." George Bernard Shaw says: "If a man like Muhamed were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness. Read the following writings of other Western authors…" In the Encyclopedia Britannica it is stated that: "Muhammad is the most successful of all Prophets and religious personalities." ..Another impressive tribute to Muhammad, peace be upon him is in the very well written work of Michael H. Hart, "The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History." He states that the most influential person in all history was Muhammad, peace be upon him, with Jesus second. Examine his actual words: "My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level." 4. don't do your speech like that, that theme has been so overused and seems pretty trite to me. I just graduated, and the valedictorian in my class did an awesome speech which described Mario from Super Mario Brothers' life.He first was acting like he was Mario, and that he was running up a mountain when suddenly a giant rock almost rolled over him. He looked at the top of the mountain, and there was a damsil in distress with what looked like a giant ape. So Aaron (that was the valedictorian's name) ran up the mountain dodgeing rocks, but then when he got to the top the monkey had fled with the princess to Mushroom Kingdom. At that point then one of the assistant principals went up to Aaron and whispered something in his ear, and he told the crowd "Oh, I'm sorry, I have just been told that I am actually describing Mario's life, not my life." Then he said we can learn alot from Mario, how he had to use both his strenght and wits to accomplish his goals, how he never gave up, and how he always could count on the support of his family (Luigi). That was a groovy speech…

  5. Thomas Edison, the great inventor. Here are a couple of quotes from him that capture his work ethic.

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

"Opportunity is missed by most people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work."

  6. There are famous inspirational people that go way back in history? History to me is yesterday and many yesterdays ago?! And? The future that holds it's own?! If It were me? I would do something very special and very different…for my…valedictorian speech?! Please? Think?! Of a person? Maybe she was yours? Maybe. She was your best friends? The most inspirational being I can think of has been in many history's past and many more to come?! It would be? The Mothers of the world?! All Mothers, whom devote, day and night, seven days a week?! To many precious moments?! One? Major?! One?! To see her hard work. One day?! Speaking…right in front of her?! Validating the hard work that comes with raising a valedictorian?! And! The Honor! It was…doing so?!!!

  7. How about a speech about the greatest general of all time.
Douglas MacArthur. The things he did for the Filipino people
and the Nipponese (Japanese) as their vice-regal are still revered by them to this day.

BTW…congrats on being the valedictorian of your class. You, no doubt, worked hard and are an inspiration to others. May you have the very best life has to offer.

  8. If you truly are the valedictorian of your class, you'll be able to work hard and do the research on your own! Only through (YOUR OWN) hard work can you be successful in your endeavor to write and deliver an inspirational speech.
