College Wise what do you have to do to become a motivational speaker?

I feel like that is what I’m suppposed to do. I’m 17 years old and have almost a year of college in. but what courses do I have to take to become a motivational speaker?
Take some writing, communication, linguistics, psychology classes. Take some marketing/business classes to learn how to market yourself. Take liberal arts classes (history, philosophy) so you learn how to think.
Motivational speakers have a lot of life lessons and something to say. They don’t need to have gone to college since the degree is not going to necessarily make them a better speaker.
You should look up the National Speakers Association and maybe go to a meeting. You could also join a Toastmasters group (even in high school) for speaking practice. And you should already be on the debate team so you can practice standing up in front of people.

I’m only 12years old and i really want to be a motivational speaker who goes through college. I just want to know how someone my age, who can’t join a debate team and there are no national speaking associations near me, could do to better prepare myself for a future in Motivational speaking.I also would like to know if psychology would be a good subject to take in college. I have read all about it and think it’s very interesting.
