    Once again I guess I am missing your humor, but since this movie is based on a true story about a team that won the state championship, so to make the hero lose probably would not have worked in this particular case.
    And as for what makes a good movie, Hoosiers is generally regarded as one of the top four or five sports movies of all time.

    Oh, did they? That would make my statement incorrect. I was just basing it off of humor and irony. You see if they won, that would be just like every other movie, where the hero wins, and the protagonist is destroyed.

    When the hero loses, people actually feel something. Thats what makes a good movie.
