How do I become a motivational speaker?

I’m going to be a junior in high school and I have overcome some obstacles in life that I believe some people would have given up on. I would really like to become a motivational speaker because I think that I could really reach kids because I am close their age. How would I go about becoming a motivational speaker now?

    Read some books on the subject. I personally don’t find motivational speakers useful for the long run. They are good for the quick fix. If you are going to do it, motivate them to read materials where they can learn to be self-motivators like yourself.
