My friend and I are starting a book club. The first book we want to read has to be inspirational in some way, whether that be finding yourself, moving past obstacles, things like that. We do NOT want a classic or teenage book.

I am very motivated to workout and I enjoy it a lot, but when it comes to food I can’t resist the temptation to eat donuts and chips, etc. I love fruits and vegetables but they are expensive and not always in my house. How can I find the motivation to stop eating junk food?

Good thing is , you love and concern yourself! I dont think donuts and chips are cheaper than an apple, orange and banana. Dont give yourself any excuse, if you are living alone, keep fruits in your kitchen, and throw away any junk foods. When you are going to lose control and want to eat them out… just think about you have to love yourself , and why not go out for a walk with MP3 music. And find out some interesting and help you to draw out your attention with junk food.

When im inspired (Usualy by reading my fravorite books about people i greatly respect) i get motivated and do great things, but often the inspiration leaves and gets weaker over time, but then will come back.
How do you stay inspired?

I get inspiration from within. I don’t think I’ve ever been inspired by another person before.

But then again, I’ve been a socially avoidant recluse since I was twelve so that’s not really working out for me.

I have 2. I love running, I just never found the right combination of shoes and insert for my flat feet until now. And 2 honestly is because of girls lol I want to have that nice body to show off haha. What about you? What is your motivation?

What do you think about these inspirational songs? Do you think this is an attempt to promote positive thinking and higher self-esteem or is it just a passing trend?

I’ve been going through some hard times lately and I have nobody to really turn to so I thought I would try out for the first time to write some song lyrics. Just for me personally

But the problem is, I would be sitting there with my pen and pad and I just can’t think of any lyrics which go which expresses the situations I’m going through. And when I do come up with some lyrics the lyrics sound similar to other songs.

So what can I do, what do you guys do to help you write songs what your inspiration help please!

It will just come to you in general. Sometimes if you think too hard about trying to write a song or create lyrics, you may have a difficult time. Just relax and eventually you will come up with lyrics. When I write lyrics sometimes I think of the next verse a week from now. You may think of a few good lines randomly during your day time. So don’t worry about it…inspiration just doesn’t happen when you sit in a chair with your pen and paper. Inspiration comes in general and at any time. Hope I helped.

There is a school in my local area who have a large banner proudly displaying the motto ‘Become who you are’. I doubt that would have the power to inspire anybody. Become who you are – I already am who I am. That was a short trip!

So anybody have anything better, a more nauseatingly useless inspirational phrase? Where is it and why do you hate it?

I disagree with this quote… I think that "being yourself" is a good thing… if everybody was the same, the world would be a dull & boring place… That is why every single person is different in this world and has their own personality… let your light shine no matter what your personality is… each person has good and bad things about themself, but learn to accept who you are and to only "be yourself"
